Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using Alvan Labs Pay ("the service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Service description

Alvan Labs Pay is a UPI payment reconciliation tool. It connects to a merchant's Gmail account (read-only) to detect bank credit alert emails and automatically verify UPI payments against pending orders. We are a software tool — we do not process, hold, or move funds.

3. Merchant responsibilities

  • You are responsible for the accuracy of your UPI ID, bank sender email, and other configuration.
  • You must ensure your Gmail account is the one that receives bank credit alerts for the UPI ID you register.
  • You are responsible for all transactions processed under your account.
  • You agree not to use the service to process fraudulent or unauthorized payments.

4. Gmail access

To use the payment verification feature, you must authorize Alvan Labs Pay to read your Gmail (read-only access). This access is used solely to parse bank credit alert emails. You may revoke this access at any time from your settings page or directly via your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

5. No guarantee of payment verification

Payment verification depends on your bank sending email alerts, Gmail delivering them promptly, and the email format matching our parser. We do not guarantee 100% detection of all payments. Always have a manual reconciliation fallback for disputed or undetected payments.

6. Limitation of liability

Alvan Labs Pay is provided "as is". We are not liable for missed payment detections, incorrect order verifications, downstream integration failures (WooCommerce, webhooks), or any business losses arising from use of the service.

7. Account termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the Gmail API, or engage in fraudulent activity. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support.

8. Changes to terms

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via the dashboard or email.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in India.
